Social bookmarking - NETS One

1. National Archives-American San Fransisco Earthquake
This was a pretty informative site with all kinds of into on the 1905 quake. Pics and stuff too.
2. NEA-Achievement Gap
The achievement gaps, SES, race/ethnicity and I am sure other statistical information.
3. Stop Cyber Bullying
This thing is wak. I am sorry but talking smack in a MMORPG while farming does not count as cyber bullying. j/k In all seriousness, this is a serious issue and in that tag you can learn about the issue as well as take a survey.
4. Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators
This site offers a workshop to teach technology which is handy for teaching students. And lots of apps for designing stuff. Not my cup of tee but I think it would be useful for most any educator.
5. Multiple Intelligences
This site offers information on mult-intelligence testing as well as the ability to self-test. I think it is useful but inaccurate. These tests require a professional proctor which is clinical trained. However the site does offer very useful information.
6. Teaching Tolerance-Lesson Idea
Once again, a must have for any educators website. All pretty common sense info, but this offers and innovative way to get the messege across.
7. EdChange Multicultural Awareness Quiz
Lots of really interesting and kind of surprising information. I think that everyone should see this regardless of your profession. Social justice is a social issue and everyone should be aware of this stuff
8. Netiquette
All pretty much common sense but I guess this is good if technology is new to you. The site offers information how to behave online. Basically the idea is to treat people like they are people. There are real people on the other end of the line after all... Some good tips for newbs... emotes and such are good to learn. Although I always figured the pictures spoke for themselves :p

  1. MyDelicious totally meets NETS One for a variety of reasons. NETS One states " promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes." The very nature of my delicious.com is to create a global network based on real world issues and common interest. This meets NETS One at it's core.
